Dear TRIUMF Postdoc & BAEs,
GAPS and TRIUMF HR are happy to invite you to an info session and Q&A on the new postdoc policy, GAPS Onboarding (benefits & pension) and any other questions you may have.
The info session is being held on Tuesday, September 24th starting at 1:30pm in the MOB auditorium and online via Teams. We encourage you to come in person if possible due to the Q&A nature of the session. The session will be recorded and provided afterwards to those who are unable to attend. Please note that only general questions should be asked during the Q&A in order to protect privacy and confidentiality. You will have the opportunity to speak directly with HR and other presenters as outlined below for any individual or case specific questions.
The first half of the info session will be for both postdocs and BAEs, highlighting the major changes of the postdoc policy, processing of the salary increases, a general overview of the GAPS Onboarding (benefits & payroll), and a Q&A. Monika Stachura (Head, Education) will present on the postdoc policy, Maxine McKay (HR Manager) will present on the salary increases, as well as onboarding. Also invited are Ian Doyle (Director, HR) and Sanjev Dewett (CAO) who will attend for parts of the session as per their availability. There will be an opportunity for BAEs to ask any individual/case specific questions.
The second half will be a general Q&A session for postdocs only. We will have a Q&A and this will also provide the opportunity to speak with any of the presenters and attendees about individual cases or questions. This will also give our postdocs who require a new work permit to receive the salary increase an opportunity to speak with HR and ask any case specific questions.”
Some light refreshments will be provided. Invites for the sessions will be sent out shortly, including Teams links.
