What is the point of an AGM?
It’s to bring together our entire community of grad students and postdocs to discuss the last year and plan our priorities for the next year.
We will share with you the hard work your GAPS Committee has put into, among others:
-Advocating for better grad & postdoc policies and better HR response
-Building community
-Making TRIUMF a welcoming and equitable environment
-Preparing you for an after-grad school/postdoc professional life
Most importantly, we want to hear from you!
-What could we strive to bring up with TRIUMF management that would make your experience better?
-How can we help make TRIUMF a better environment to be in?
-What events can we hold to better build our community?
-And anything else you might want to discuss with your fellow grads & postdocs
From 5-6pm we will hold these discussions, with most of the time being an open floor for you to bring your questions and concerns to the GAPS Committee and the wider GAPS community.
After 6pm, we’ll serve some food, and this will allow us to continue these discussions in a more informal setting.
We hope all grads and postdocs will join us for this very important meeting, so there is no need to RSVP.
