TRIUMF Ombudsperson

The Ombudsperson assists in solving fairness issues and in fostering a respectful learning and working environment for all trainees. A consultation with the Ombudsperson is confidential. You can make inquiries without providing personal information until you are ready to.

The Ombudsperson will:

  • Listen and try to understand what happened and to hear what your goals are;

  • Provide information about resources, policies procedures and practices relevant to your situation;

  • Help problem-solve, mediate or facilitate communication as required;

  • Assist in resolving the situation informally.

The Ombudsperson reports to the Director. Thematic themes are shared and identifying information is shared only with explicit permission from the trainee.
