The postdoctoral project will focus on fundamental science questions in theoretical nuclear physics. We will use ab initio nuclear-structure theory and a modern understanding of the nuclear interaction grounded in effective field theory to model subatomic processes with quantified theoretical uncertainties. The project will involve the development of state-of-the-art methods that involve quantum many-body theory, effective field theory, computational physics, and statistical methods. This gives an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop new theoretical skills and learn computational techniques and statistical approaches.
